Kristina Badalian joined BGR&P as an Associate in September 2006 following a clerkship which included all Montgomery County District Court Judges. Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland, she is a member of the Family Law and Litigation Sections of the Maryland State Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association. From 2006-2007, she served as an associate member of the Montgomery County Inn of Court.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Ms. Badalian received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego, in 2001. She later obtained her Juris Doctorate from American University's Washington College of Law in 2005.

Anne E. Grover joined BGR&P as an Associate in 2007. Ms. Grover is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She is a member of the Family Law and Litigation Sections of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Minnesota, Ms. Grover received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Catholic University of America in 2002, and her Juris Doctorate from the Washington College of Law in 2006. Prior to joining BGR&P, she worked as an attorney for a small corporate, tax, and estates and trusts firm in Montgomery County.

Nicolas Orechwa

Nicolas Orechwa joined BGR&P in 2006 as an Associate, bringing extensive litigation and trial experience in matters of domestic violence and child abuse. Mr. Orechwa is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Louisiana, and the District of Columbia.
Born in Joliet, Illinois, Mr. Orechwa received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa in 1997 and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University of New Orleans in 2001. Following his graduation, he served as a prosecutor in the New Orleans District Attorney's Office where, over the course of three years, he tried over 30 jury trials, many of which involved cases of domestic violence and child abuse. He then worked as a contractor with the Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Defense and later, the Central Legal Staff of the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals in Washington D.C.
Mr. Orechwa is a member of the Family Law and Litigation Sections of the Maryland State Bar Association and is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association where he participates in the Family Law Section. He has served as a Co-Chair of the Court Evaluator Mentor Program. Additionally, he is a member of the St. Thomas More Society of Maryland and has contributed his services to the Montgomery County Circuit Court Family Self Help Center.

Erin L. Kopelman joined BGR&P as an Associate in 2007 with an array of Family Law experiences. Licensed to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia, she received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bucknell University in 2003 and her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in 2006.
Ms. Kopelman interned at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and served as a law clerk for a Family Law Judge in the Broward County Circuit Court in Florida. She worked as a mediator in the Juvenile Division of the Broward County Circuit Court and has volunteered as a mediator in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
Ms. Kopelman practiced law prior to joining BGR&P. Ms. Kopelman is a member of the Family Law and Litigation Sections of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association. She is also a trained divorce mediator.

Heather R. Sweren

Heather R. Sweren joined BGR&P as an Associate in 2006 and is licensed to practice law in Maryland. Ms. Sweren received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2001 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore in 2005.
As part of her legal studies, Ms. Sweren interned with the Honorable Gary Everngam in the District Court for Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Honorable John W. Debelius, III, in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland. Following graduation, she clerked with the Honorable William J. Rowan, III, in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland.
Ms. Sweren is a member of the Maryland Bar. She is an active member of the Family Law Section of the Maryland Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
